Types of plastering
Norwich & Norfolk
All plastering. No subcontractors.
Five kinds of work, one person doing all of it — so what you're quoted is what turns up.
Skimming & replastering
Suction and substrate checked first, then PVA'd where needed and finished in two coats of multi-finish to within 3mm flatness over 1.8m — the flat, hard, paint-ready surface that shows up in raking light for the right reason.
Full room replasters
Blown, cracked or damp-damaged plaster hacked off back to brick or block, backing coat built up to restore depth, then skimmed once it's dried out properly — not patched over problems that come back through the paint.
New builds
Boarded and skimmed to the standard new-build spec — dot-and-dab or timber-frame board first, then a two-coat multi-finish skim once first fix is signed off, so the finish is flat, decorator-ready and on the site programme.
Rendering
Beading and mesh at every edge and junction before a trowel touches the wall, scratch coat then float coat brought to true with a straight edge, in sand-and-cement, K-Rend or silicone depending on the property — weather-tight, crack-resisting, no callbacks.
Artex removal
Pre-'90s textured ceilings tested before anything's touched — sound coatings get sealed with a skim overcoat, anything that needs to come off is stripped wet and safely. Either way you're left with a flat ceiling, no shortcuts on the asbestos check.

Plaster is only the start — here's what it looks like once the room is lived in.
The man behind the walls.
Ben has been plastering Norwich and Norfolk since before most of his customers owned their first house. He works alone — which means every wall gets his full attention, and every job gets finished by the person who quoted it.
